Nelson is one of the best regions in New Zealand for growing grapes. There are a number of local wineries in the area for your to explore. One of our favorites is Blackenbrook.
The seaside village of Mapua is on the coastal route between Nelson and Motueka and just 10 minutes from the Sheep's Leap. The village and historic wharf are also the gateway to the Waimea Estuary. Mapua has fantastic restaurants, such as the Smoke House, the Pukeko and the Naked-Bun bakery.
